The most exciting tourist sites of the city are Whirly Ball, Farrell-Wilson Farmstead Museum, Laser Quest, Fairview Farms, the Art Center, Heritage Farmstead, Interurban Railway Station Museum and JC Penney Museum.
The Interurban Railway station museum interestingly exhibits the past transport history of Plano. The interurban Railway, an original electric car, was once a vital part of the Texas Electric Railway stretched from Denison to Waco through Plano. A dozen restored historic homes with the original brick streets of Plano’s downtown area, queued up with unique shops draw numerous tourists in the city.

The museum features the Living Lab, an interactive hands-on science laboratory; Venomous Snakes of Texas exhibit; and rotating nature art exhibits.
Some preferment historical places of this City are the 1896 brick Plano National Bank, the Haggard Park, the 1924 Plano Independent School District Administration Building, the 1901 W.J. Carpenter House, the Mitchell House, the 1910 S.B. Wyatt House, and the 1907 Aldridge House.
The Art Centre in Plano encourages, promotes and supports excellence and diversity in art and art education throughout the community. Various types of Plays, vocal performance and national shows are preformed at the Art Centre Theatre.
The Community Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival is a spectacular three-day event that plies spectators an action packed weekend. Exhibitions of unique arts, and crafts, gift show are staged during this festival. The Spectacular Hot Air Balloons are launched when weather permits. This event is devised and projected to provide entertainment for the entire family. The rabbles cheer up to view the colorful balloons that fill the skies over Plano.
